August Lucey is a satire about a young man trying to find his political identity. A frustrated poet working in pharmaceutical advertising becomes a whistleblower to expose unethical drug testing, then leaves his job to live in the woods with a group of radicals who have gone off the grid to live an experimental life. Dylan Latimer and Jesse Karch are writers and directors of plays and movies. Based in NYC, they work with the Dome Theater company and have made two films together, August Lucey and Tuesday’s Bluff.
